Portugal is widely regarded as the hidden gem of European golf. Many holiday golfers are distracted away to Spain’s rich tradition in golfing and its championship courses while others visit the British Isles for the original Links golf experience.

The Meribel ski resort is a vast complex, having grown considerably from the original resort first created at the end of the 1930s. Springing up around the delight village of Meribel, it is a mix of private chalets and apartment blocks. Located in the central valley of the Three Valleys in, the South Easter corner of France, it has been enjoyed by dedicated skiers for decades.
All accommodation in the Meribel ski resort are well designed, many of which have a certain charm unlike many purpose built resorts in the Alps. In Meribel-Village itself, located at the bottom a blue run from Meribel to Courchevel is a great resort for families. Quieter than many, it makes for a relaxing stay if peace rather than vibrant apres ski is sought.
Many of the individual chalets are situated in Mussillon, near the main road into the resort. From here, the village is accessible too; with a main road running directly to its centre. The road continues further upwards, in two branches; one leading to altiport, (a snow covered airstrip). On the other branch, a recent addition, Belvedere, can be reached; which is well geared to the younger crowd in search for snow and nightlife. Read more...

The intriguing country of Ireland has been a popular spot for gay vacations since the days when Oscar Wilde called this nation home. Of course, during his time Ireland was not as welcoming and accepting of LGBT folks and many, including Wilde, were jailed or sent off to hard labor camps for what was then termed “indecency.” Sadly, up until 1861, death was considered an acceptable punishment for acts of sodomy, but today Ireland has moved well beyond these dark days and has recently bested the U.S. when it comes to LGBT rights by legalizing same-sex civil unions in 2009, after decriminalizing same-sex behaviors in 1993.
