Despite earning more money than the national average those with high incomes are developing financial difficulties, new research shows.

A study carried out by Axa reveals that about three-quarters (72 per cent) of Britons earning at least 30,000 pounds a year are looking to cut back on their spending over the course of 2008. Meanwhile, 15 per cent of those surveyed state that they have been forced to get another job or coerce a non-working member of their household to find employment in a bid to bring in more income. In a further attempt to reduce pressures on their spending, just under half (44 per cent) of respondents state they will dine out less often. Meanwhile, some 21 per cent claim they will spend less time socialising with friends.

Due to such difficulties with managing money, it may be possible that consumers develop problems with making repayments on personal loans and credit cards, as well as meeting the cost of mortgages, council tax and household bills.

A little over 5 years ago, I remember making a trip out to Brooklyn Polytech Institute to offer faculty and staff there a free credit and debt counseling seminar.  At that time, I was representing a public non-profit consumer credit counseling agency I co-founded back in 1996, and these free seminars were a significant part of maintaining compliance with the IRS.  They were free to all attendees, and free to the organization, agency or company hosting.   Back in 02 and 03, consumer credit counseling was under increased scrutiny and growing suspicion due in large part to the bankruptcy filing of Ameridebt, the nation’s largest consumer credit counseling agency.  Ameridebt had been caught mismanaging funds and misrepresenting themselves to the public, calling all non profit credit counseling into question.  As time went on, more agencies were coming under investigation for funneling profits to for-profit entities and misrepresenting their services to the public. As a 34yr old, still holding on to his last shreds of idealism, I remember thinking aloud on that September day I took the R train out to Brooklyn that “nothing was sacred anymore,… nothing.”

There is nothing that will make a person feel more insecure than when a stranger hands them a digital photo camera, and asks them to capture a picturesque, once-in-a-lifetime moment. People go on photo camera shopping trips to find a digital camera that feels comfortable and does what they expect it to. Handling a camera that you are unfamiliar with, however, leaves something to be desired. Operating someone else’s digital camera, that you know nothing about, is a very awkward moment, at best.

D.J is an acronym for Disc jockey. Over time, this acronym came to represent a musical style derived from reggae music. This form of music involves lyrics chanted over a ‘beat’. A synopsis of the evolution of ‘Dub music’ should shed some light on the nature and structure of D.J or Dance Hall music. Dub is derived from the Version, “B” or flip side of vinyl polymer reggae recordings. The versions had only the instrumental accompaniment of a song. Dub was not a musical arrangement but was formed from studio techniques, which entails the engineers extending the bass and drum patterns making it the main body of the “B” side replacing the vocalist as the center of attention.

Deejays such as ‘Papa Michigan and General Smiley’ first used the ‘dub’ section of vinyl polymer records altered by the various studio engineers to chant their lyrics over. This act of chanting is referred to as “Deejaying inna rubba dub style”. As time progressed the Deejays laid their own rhythmic patterns to chant over. It was at this point that Deejays acquired the capital letters ‘D.J’ that represented the newly formed form of music.
